Bespoke home support
-
When your home begins to feel overwhelming, I provide calm, practical help to make it manageable again. I can work through a particular room or address several areas gradually, taking care of the hands-on sorting, packing and organising. You can be as involved as you wish or are able to be, and nothing will be removed without your express agreement.
-
Moving to a smaller home can involve difficult decisions as well as considerable physical work. I’ll help you decide what genuinely matters, organise what will move with you and prepare everything else for donation, recycling or responsible disposal. Your plan will be shaped around your timescale, energy and priorities, ensuring the process feels orderly rather than overwhelming.
-
Sorting through the belongings of someone you have lost requires time, sensitivity and enormous care. I’ll support you without rushing decisions, helping to identify meaningful possessions, organise what should be kept and prepare other items for their agreed destination. Every belonging will be handled respectfully, and you will remain in complete control of what happens throughout the process.

Illness, separation, retirement and other significant changes can make managing a home feel especially difficult. Drawing on my experience as a qualified life coach, I offer compassionate, judgement-free support alongside genuine practical help. We’ll create a realistic plan around your circumstances and energy, allowing your home to become calmer and more manageable at a pace that feels right for you.

A little about me
I’m Lucy, a fully qualified life coach with more than eight years’ experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including grief, anxiety, divorce, empty-nest syndrome, loss of identity and the search for a renewed sense of purpose.
Outside my work, I’m mum to two amazing daughters, “Nanny” to my two gorgeous grandchildren, and the devoted owner of two furry companions, Bean and Boris. I understand that a home is never simply a collection of rooms and possessions—it holds our memories, relationships and different chapters of our lives.
My coaching work led me to create Disentangle. Again and again, I encountered people facing the overwhelming task of sorting through a home following bereavement, illness, separation, a significant life change or many years of accumulated belongings. The practical work was substantial, but the emotional weight behind it was often even greater.
When I researched the support available, I found that people were generally offered one of two solutions. A traditional house-clearance service could remove things quickly, but the process could feel rushed and impersonal, leaving little space for careful decisions or the emotional meaning attached to possessions. A professional home organiser could create useful systems and beautifully ordered spaces, but this was not always the right support for someone experiencing grief, vulnerability or major upheaval—or for someone who needed another person to take care of much of the physical work.
Disentangle was created to fill that gap. It combines the sensitivity and emotional understanding of my coaching experience with calm, practical, hands-on help in your home. The aim is not to clear everything away or create an impossibly perfect space. It is to help you move forward thoughtfully and rediscover a home that feels manageable, peaceful and truly yours.
Fees
Every home—and every situation—is different. For that reason, Disentangle is offered as a bespoke service, thoughtfully shaped around your particular circumstances.
Bespoke support starts from £95 per hour.
Some clients need just one focused two- or three-hour session, during which we can work efficiently to complete a specific task. Others require support with a larger, multiple-day project—perhaps a substantial house clearance or a major downsizing following illness, bereavement or separation.
The final cost will depend on the nature and scale of the work, the level of practical and emotional support you require, and whether I work with you alone or alongside a trusted colleague.
In addition to your complimentary 20-minute introductory Zoom call, every bespoke package includes a private 45-minute Zoom planning session. This gives us time to explore your circumstances in greater depth, clarify what you would like to achieve and agree on a calm, manageable way forward before the work begins.
You will always receive a clear, tailored quotation before making any commitment.
Where a project requires additional support, I work only with trusted, DBS-checked colleagues who share Disentangle’s commitment to discretion, tact and sensitivity. All work undertaken by Disentangle is fully insured.
